Scheduling
Our schedule provides for an afternoon or evening reception (these time slots vary). All receptions are based on 4 hours (including arrival/event/departure). If available, additional hours can be provided for an added cost. Additional hours must be decided on at time of final preparation.
Timing
Reception timing needs to be designed around guest arrival, not Bride and Groom arrival. Timing is crucial and contracted.
Ceremony
We welcome you to have your ceremony with us. An additional one half hour is provided.
Alt 1 Gazebo/Patio - 120 seats provided, additional guests gather in the garden. Maximum 220
Alt 2 Tableside - Guests are seated at their tables in the Bay Room.
Bridal Room is not provided. Come dressed. Groom/Groomsmen arrive one half hour prior to ceremony. Bride/Attendants arrive 15 minutes prior to ceremony.
Timing is everything - Late Beginnings Create Shorter Receptions
Bubbles/Seeds/Rice and Confetti are not permitted
Runners are not suggested on the Patio
Rehearsal
Not necessary, however, if you choose to do so It will be timed at our convenience, not to exceed one hour. Minister must attend. (See Price List)
Other Professionals
Your reception is clearly a team effort. Not just our team, but others as well.
Access for DJ's / Bands / Florist / Bakers
Decorators etc. arrive one hour before the event. Be sure to inform the others.
DJ's / Bands
DJ's / Bands will complete their entertainment 15 minutes prior to the end of the reception. Limited space is available, however, power will be provided. Excessive Equipment (Stage bands / Light shows) are not recommended. Breakdown and departure must be accomplished in a reasonable amount of time (30 minutes) after completion.
Florist / Decorators
You may supply limited additional decorations (our staff will place per your instructions) Kurtz's is not responsible for loss or damage.
Cake
NO CAKE CUTTING FEE. Take home wrap is provided. If client supplies cake boxes, they must be assembled.
Food
Clients may choose a pre-designed menu or design a menu, and have us cost it out. In planning your event, you are essentially taking 75 or more of your friends and family "Out to Dinner". We use butter, salt, sugar, etc. LEAVE YOUR DIET AT THE DOOR. We plan for all guests to leave satisfied, our main banquet service is two hours.
Beverages
All packages include Soda/Tea/Coffee. Any and all beverages are supplied by Kurtz's. No alcohol may be brought to the facility. If alcohol is brought in the facility, we reserve the right to end the event. It is the client's responsibility to handle the issue.
Full Service Bar
The bar will stop serving alcoholic beverages fifteen minutes prior to the end of the reception.
Mixed Drinks
Open Bar package includes standard liquors (Premium liquors are also available at an additional cost).
Beer
Package includes Coors Lite draft and Yuengling draft beer. Alternative Brands can be provided at an additional cost.
Fountain
Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic fountains/punches can be provided (i.e. fuzzy navel, whiskey sour)
Wine
Various brands and choices are made available
Barware
Our mixed drinks are served in clear plastic tumblers, our beer and sodas are served in 12 oz. flex cups.
Champagne Toast
Complimentary champagne provided for Bridal Party and two Parents Tables.
Our Staff
Our staff will be dressed in a traditional black and white attire. Our employees are trained in customer service and work by the rule that the customer is always right, however, we do not expect our staff to tolerate rude behavior. Any rude guest behavior will be the responsibility of the client.

Convenient parking for your guests will be provided across from the facility (in the field). Our circular driveway allows for special drop offs as well as the bridal limousines.
- Your guests are welcomed, assisted with any gifts or packages and directed to their assigned seats by your guest list.
- Beverages will be provided as well as Hors d'oeuvres (if Included).
- Bride and Groom arrive.
- Wedding Party is announced in.
- Customary time for Toast and Prayer *Complimentary champagne is provided for head table and two parents tables.
- Head Table is served.
- Guests are invited to buffet by table *Your guests are welcomed to Kurtz's and informed of the menu selections offered on the buffet.
- Reception proceeds as planned by the Bride and Groom.
- Departure - Our staff will assist your assigned party with the removal of the gifts and any returnable items. Entertainment and Alcoholic beverages stop 15 minutes prior to the end of the reception, this will allow your guests to have a gentle departure.

Upon your decision to use Kurtz's Beach for your special event, you should review the following process:
- Inform Us: 410-255-1280 FAX 410-255-2062
- We will send you a contract that will include your name and address, etc., menu, date, time and any special instructions.
- Review, sign, initial and return the pink copy with your deposit. Your canceled check will be your receipt.
- Schedule your final appointment two weeks prior to your scheduled event. At your final appointment, be prepared to provide Kurtz's Beach with a final head count, any additional planning and any remaining balance due. Your final payment can be made with cash or check. (Sorry, No Credit Cards)
- During the week prior to your event, your guest list, favors, wedding supplies, lineup and the name of the person responsible for your gifts must be delivered to Kurtz's Beach. Remember your guest list is a must, we do not use place cards.
Cancellation Policy:
NOTE: DEPOSITS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.
We must be notified of cancellation in writing. Please include a copy of the front and back of your cancelled check.
